Pak Telecom Pensioners Dharna in Islamabad
Lahore (Mon, Oct 21, 2013) – Pakistan Telecommunication Sector’s retired employees (pensioners) are organizing a grand sit-in (Dharna) in the capital city of Islamabad.
PTCL pensioners from over the country are gathering in Rawalpindi and Islamabad city. There telecom pensioners are comprises of old-men, old-women, widows and orphans.

All Pakistan PTCL Pensioners Action Committee has called for a peaceful ‘Dhrana’ in Islamabad on Tuesday, 22-10-213 against non-implementation of standing orders of Government of Pakistan, Supreme Court, Islamabad High Court judgements & National Assembly standing committee for IT& telecom directives.
Pakistan Telecommunication Employees Trust (PTET) has denied payment of enhance pension and Medical Allowance as announced by Govt. of Pakistan in last four years.
These 42,000 pensioners includes 12,000 widows and orphans across the country.
Thousands of pensioners will gather to protest peacefully in their old age and sickness for their right.
This was stated by Muhammad Ikram ullah Khan (Convener), Muhammad Aslam Bhutto (Chief Coordinator), Muhammad Azam Qureshi (Organizer) and Muhammad Tauqeer (Deputy Convener) in a statement.
